We host a fortnightly online support group for anyone who is in need of mental health support.
When: Wednesday at 6:30pm, London Time Zone, but times could change.
Where: Online through Zoom
How long: About 90 minutes, but as we have a very relaxed approach, feel free to hop on and off when you need to.
Rules and Regulations:
- The group is a safe place to speak about mental health. We pass no judgement or criticism on anyone.
- You are welcome to speak about your experiences within this group to outsiders, but you are not to speak of, or repeat anyone else's experiences, commentary or struggles.
- This group is open to anyone 18 years and over, and accepting of all races, creeds, cultures, genders and sexualities.
- This group is religion free!
- You do not have to do anything that you don't want to do. If you don't want to speak, you can just listen to the other people. If you prefer to have your camera off, please feel free to do so.
What to expect:
You will hear the best and worst of people as they speak about their struggles, how they're coping, how they feeling, and what they are currently experiencing.
We also use this time to comment on what others have spoken about, and see if anyone has any useful tips or coping strategies.
When people find that they are experiencing the exact same thing, it can be extremely reassuring!
This is also a time that we may like to share some inspirational poetry, books or movies - anything that can aid in mental health recovery.
Sometimes, we also just have a bit of a social chat, and laugh a lot.
SIDE NOTE: None of us are doctors, and we do not diagnose anyone.
If you are interested, please email me at mel(AT)myanxietycompanion.com (PLEASE only use this email address for support group enquiries! Any other emails will not be entertained)
***PLEASE TAKE THE DIFFERENT TIME ZONES INTO CONSIDERATION. The support Group operates on London Time***
